Activities of Transmission Substations Department

Mission:

Transmission Substations Department of Ghods Niroo Engineering Company acts as a powerful aide of  electric power industry of Iran and provides Tavanir (Generation and Transmission of Electric Power Company of Iran), Electric Power Development Board of Iran, regional electric companies and miscellaneous industrial consumers with a wide variety of engineering services regarding transmission substations and their related technologies.

The department employs highly skillful experts with up-to-date expertise in their field, and is reputable as a reliable consultant for its clients in the areas of management, engineering, design, procurement, construction, installation and implementation of transmission substations. The department enjoys different technical groups divided into smaller groups and sub-groups with specialty in power transformers, numerical protection systems, Distributed Control System (DCS), Power Line Carrier (PLC), Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and substation civil engineering services. The existing know-how has enabled GNEC to compete with its strong rivals and won tenders of exclusive projects through participation in remarkable tenders countrywide. As the evidence for this claim, wind power plants project and also purchasing 40 GIS units as well as transfer of GIS know-how to Iran can be mentioned.

        Different types of substations including GIS, AIS and URBAN equipped with ordinary control systems, DCS and UNMANNED

        Substations concerning renewable energies such as substations of wind power plants

        Transfer of know-how to Iran regarding construction of GIS and its related equipment

        Power transformers

        PLC systems
